3. Negotiate the deal and manage all parties through to settlement

• Screening the buyer ensuring that only qualified buyers have access to your confidential business information.
• Assessing their financial capacity to purchase the business and obtain finance.
• Negotiating the sale and manage the preparation of a contract of sale.
• Arranging for the contract to be signed by all parties and ensuring that all relevant parties (solicitors, banks etc.) receive a copy of the signed agreement,
• Managing the buyers due diligence process inc meeting with their accountant and solicitor if required.
• Preparing the buyer for franchisor approval,
• Managing the franchisor approval process,
• Preparing the buyer for landlord approval and accompany the buyer to the meeting.
• Troubleshooting any issues that arise during due diligence until settlement.
 

Your Selling Budget? 

In our experience, we find that Franchisees need to budget for between 10%-15% of the total sale price in total costs associated with exiting the business.  This will cover:-

• transfer fee charged by your Franchisor,
• preparing your business for sale (Business Profile)
• marketing the business to potential buyers
• brokers success fee
• your accountant's advice and time
• your solicitor's advice and time
